Seward is one of Alaska's oldest and most scenic communities and is located approximately 125 miles south of Anchorage. Seward is nestled at the foot of Mount Marathon along the scenic shoreline of Resurrection Bay.
In 1903, Seward was officially founded as a city on a long abandoned Native village site, but the town had already been a Gold Rush encampment for at least a decade.
